Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng popularly known as Asabee went to support Nana Boakye, the National Youth Organizer for the ruling New Patriotic Party as he cut sod for the construction of the Children’s Ward at Tafo General Hospital in marking of his 40th (Nana B @40) birthday celebration.
Asabee praised Nana Boakye for such a noble cause in the health sector that cares for children, in particular. He gave his personal contribution of Ghs20,000 to support the project as he spoke of the importance of supporting children and young people as well as mothers whose shoulders the burden of these young people mostly depend.
Hon. Asamoah Boateng addressing the gathering on whether he is contesting for the NPP National Chairmanship position said that he will soon make the official announcement to contest for the position as the National Chairman of the NPP.
He added that one key area he will devote his time in the rebuilding of the Party is to energise and motivate all the Organisational wings to enable the NPP to play its part in supporting the Akufo-Addo government.
“The Party must provide the backbone to the government to succeed. The grassroot members of the NPP must be strengthened to play their part for the government efforts”. Asabee added.
Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Hon. Simon Osei Mensah, Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) the Minister of Energy, and a host of the Ashanti Regional Executives of NPP.
