The Ashanti Regional Director of the NSS, Mr Alex Opoku-Mensah, has been suspended for two months without pay.
He is expected to work under supervision at the NSS head office after his suspension.
His suspension is part of recommendations from the committee of enquiry that was tasked to investigate the incident between the former regional NSS director and a nurse at the Manhyia Hospital on 27th November 2022.
A statement by the NSS Executive Director said the Board has received report of the Committee of Enquiry tasked to investigate the incident and after extensive deliberation unanimously adopted the recommendations proffered by the Committee.
“On that basis: You are suspended for two (2) calendar months without pay.”
“After the suspension, you are to report to the Head Office to work under supervision,” part of the statement to read.
