Atiwa East delegates root for Abena Osei-Asare for outstanding contribution to development

The Member of Parliament for Atiwa East in the Eastern Region and Deputy Minister of Finance, Abena Osei-Asare, has been lauded for her outstanding contributions to the development of her constituency and the region as a whole.

From infrastructure projects to healthcare and education, Hon. Osei-Asare’s initiatives have left a lasting impact on the lives of the constituents.

The MP is contesting in the Atiwa East New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary and is sure to grab the ticket with her impressive performance in Parliament as well as in government.

Road Infrastructure Boost

Under her leadership, significant road projects have been completed, connecting communities and improving accessibility.

“We are committed to ensuring that our constituents have well-maintained roads for seamless transportation,” stated Hon. Aosei-Asare.

Notable road projects include Tiawia to Tiawia-Subrisu, Adasawase, Akutuase to Aworensua, and Kadewaso.

Electrification projects

The MP’s electricity extension projects have brought light to various communities, enhancing safety and livelihoods. Access to electricity is crucial for community development and opens up opportunities for businesses and improves the overall quality of life.

The electricity projects are dotted across the constituency and include Kadewaso, Accra Village, Ehiawoanwu, Aboi, Bebome, and Kwakwaduam, which have all benefited from the extension of electricity to these previously underserved areas.

Meanwhile, over 1000 streetlight bulbs have been distributed to various communities, contributing to enhanced security and improved visibility during the night.

“We believe in creating safe and well-lit environments for our residents. The distribution of street lights aligns with our commitment to community well-being,” noted the Deputy Minister.

Employment opportunities

The efforts of Abnea Osei-Asare have not only been focused on physical infrastructure but also on empowering the youth.

According to her, over 1000 youths have been employed in the security services and various government institutions to provide sustainable employment opportunities for them.

Religious Institutions

The MP, recognizing the importance of religious institutions provided financial and other forms of support.

She affirmed that religious institutions play a crucial role in fostering community cohesion and moral values.” We are proud to support them in their endeavors,” she stated.

Advancements in Healthcare

Hon. Osei-Asare’s commitment to healthcare is also evident through ongoing projects such as constructing a 100-bed Trauma Hospital at Anyinam and expanding the Enyiresi Government Hospital.

She pointed out that quality healthcare is a fundamental right, and hence working towards enhancing healthcare facilities to meet the growing needs of constituents in Atiwa East.

Educational Infrastructure Investment

According to her, education has not been overlooked, with numerous classroom block projects aimed at improving the learning environment.

“Investing in education is investing in our future. We are creating conducive learning spaces for our children,” she said.

Educational projects initiated by the MP include classroom blocks for Anyinam Presby JHS, Anyinam Methodist Primary School, Sekyere Romam Catholic Primary, Asamang Tamfoe KG, Ankaase Presby KG, Adasawase Methodist Primary, Abakoase SDA Primary, and Enyiresi Romam Primary.

TVET School

Additionally, Abena Osei-Asare highlighted the establishment of the Anyinam TVET School, providing vocational education to equip youth with skills for the future job market.
