Ban on beaches lifted

The Greater Accra Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has lifted the ban on beaches with immediate effect.

The opening of the beaches is, however, consequent to certain strict conditions and these include:

1. Entry to the beaches shall be allowed for only persons who show proof of vaccination

2. The Ghana Health Service shall mount Vaccination points at all beach facilities to provide vaccination for persons who are not vaccinated before entry

3. Beach operators shall ensure strict adherence to all COVID-19 safety protocols

4. And as much as possible, operators shall ensure that entry points are separated from exit points to avoid overcrowding.

A statement by the REGSEC charged operators of beaches to collaborate with the Ghana Health Service, the Security and Intelligence Agencies led by the Ghana Police Service, and their respective Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies to ensure strict adherence and enforcement of this directive.
