The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has challenged former President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to deny that the NPP has outperformed their administration across various sectors of the economy.
Speaking during his “Possibilities Tour” in Tema Central, Tema East, and Tema West constituencies, Dr. Bawumia asserted that the NPP’s record in agriculture, industry, infrastructure, and job creation surpasses that of the previous government.
He stressed the creation of 2.1 million jobs and improvements in sectors such as roads, railways, hospitals, and schools, adding that he has data to back his claims.
Bawumia suggested that Mahama avoids a direct debate with him because “he knows he does not have the data” to counter the NPP’s achievements.
During the event, stakeholders raised concerns about taxes, the new shipping law, and the Customs Amendment Act, which car dealers claimed was negatively affecting their businesses.
