President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged the people of the Upper East Region to vote decisively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming December elections.
He stressed that Dr. Bawumia represents the hopes and aspirations of many Ghanaians as the country moves toward the polls. Speaking to the Chiefs and elders during his one-day tour of the region, the President encouraged voters to support the NPP by selecting the number one spot on the ballot on election day.
“I came here to give you an account of my stewardship, say hello for your support, and also to urge you to seriously take into consideration the need for you to choose somebody to step into my shoes who is going to carry on the policies that we have enumerated that have brought relief and progress and development to our country,” the President said.
He further added, “This particular election is a simple one. When you go to the polls, on the ballot paper, just look at number one. You will see the elephant on number one, and you don’t have to go any further.”
President Akufo-Addo’s remarks highlight his confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to continue the work of the current administration and deliver further development to the region and the nation as a whole.
