Hon. Anne Musah’s unanimous endorsement as District Chief Executive (DCE) for Builsa South marks a refreshing moment of unity and shared vision for development in a time when political consensus is rare.
Her confirmation came in the wake of a somewhat divided Presiding Member (PM) election within the 29-member District Assembly, where four members voted “No” and one abstained. Despite this initial division, Hon. Musah remained focused on building trust and rallying support for her confirmation. She believed that a full, unanimous endorsement would set the stage for effective collaboration with the Assembly and accelerate progress in the district.
Before the confirmation vote, Hon. Musah addressed the Assembly, calling for unity and collective purpose stating, “Let us embrace this process in a spirit of unity, peace, and progress. “Leadership is not about privilege — it’s about service, sacrifice, and delivering on the hopes of the people we represent.”
Having served previously as an Assembly Member, she reminded her colleagues of the importance of prioritizing the district’s welfare over personal or political interests.
Hon. Musah also laid out her leadership philosophy: one grounded in humility, vision, and inclusiveness. She stressed the importance of engaging all stakeholders — from traditional leaders and civil society to the private sector — in pursuit of holistic development.
When the confirmation vote concluded, she had achieved what few do in local politics: a unanimous endorsement. In her acceptance speech, she expressed deep gratitude to the Assembly, to the people of Builsa South, and to H.E. John Dramani Mahama for nominating her.
Hon. Musah pledged to serve every community, village, and household with humility and accountability. She acknowledged the pressing challenges facing the district — from education and healthcare to agriculture and job creation — but expressed confidence that, together, they could meet them head-on.
“We must ensure transparency and accountability in everything we do. We can empower our youth, expand opportunities, and build a future that leaves no one behind,” she added.
She rallied all stakeholders to join hands in advancing the district’s development agenda stating, “Let us move forward together — with hope, with determination, and with an unwavering commitment to build a brighter future for every citizen of Builsa South.”
With this resounding endorsement, Hon. Anne Musah is now positioned to usher in a new era of collaborative leadership — one that prioritizes service, unites diverse voices, and aims to transform Builsa South into a model district for inclusive growth and good governance.
