The Ghana Police Service reports of a breakthrough in its investigations into multiple Bullion Van Robberies in the Greater Accra Region over the past year.
According to the Police, preliminary investigations have established the involvement of two police officers among several other suspects.
Investigations are, however, continuing to bring all those culpable to face justice.
The robbery incidents include Kingsway, in February 2021; Baatsona (Spintex), in March 2021; Jamestown (Adedemkpo), in June 2021 and the attempted robbery at North Kaneshie (Industrial Area) in February 2022.
A release from the police indicates further details will be made available to the public as soon as it is possible to do so without compromising the ongoing investigation.
The Ghana Police Service assures the public it will continue to work hard to rid the country of criminal activities that disrupt the peace and stability of the nation and called for support in this endeavour.
