I received my friend and one of the most globally celebrated athletes, Dr. Edwin Moses at KIA today. Edwin is attending a special program called Victory in Unity as part of the 13th African Games in Ghana.
He will also visit some high-profile personalities and institutions such as the National Health Insurance Authority to familiarise himself with how Ghana’s health delivery is financed.
Dr. Moses will also have the opportunity to learn how the NHIA wants to leverage physical activities and other public health interventions to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases and other health conditions which will in effect reduce the economic cost of managing these ailments.
