Central Football Association hold Ordinary Congress ahead of league start

The Central Regional Football Association held its ordinary congress on December 8, 2023, at the Oguaa Teacher’s Credit Union at Bakano in Cape Coast to officially declare the start of the Central Region Division 2 league on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Congressmen took the opportunity to endorse Dr Francis Eyiah Bediako who is the Chairman of the Referees Match Review panel as the Vice President of the Central Region Football Association for a second term running.

In a presentation that was done by the Central Regional Association chairman, Mr Robert Otieku Duncan, the congressmen agreed on the following ;

 


1. Game centres have been accepted for use by the clubs

  1. The league starts tomorrow amidst registration issues.
  2. There will be the Regional U17 male team, 2nd division team, and U15 female teams for regional champions

4.16 teams will be in this season’s middle league [zones with 12 teams will have 3 teams but the rest will have 2 teams.]

  1. Relegation [Zones with 12 teams will have 3 teams relegated.]
  2. There shall be no protest against any club.

Congress documents were sent to congressmen two weeks before Congress and all the above issues were agreed on. The Central Regional Divisio Two League commences on the 9th of December and ends on the 22nd of May 2024.
