The Ghana Police Service has received a donation of some items including 100 packs of bullet-proof vests from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of A-Plus Business in Newark New Jersey, Thomas Yeboah and a Youth Organizer aspirant of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Prince-Kamal Gumah.
The body armour is to help security officers who have recent times suffered attacks in the discharge of their duties and sometimes resulting in death.
The items were handed over at a short ceremony held at the police unit in Accra.
The police service expressed gratitude to Prince Kamal and Thomas Yeboah who double as the NPP Deputy Youth Organizer of United States Branch and NPP New Jersey chapter member respectively for the kind gesture.
Prince Kamal also lauded Thomas after describing him as a “citizen not a spectator” in President Nana Addo’s quest to build a better Ghana.
