Chef Abdul-Razak Failatu is expected to represent Ghana at the International Horticultural Expo in Doha, Qatar.
The event slated for Saturday, March 9, is expected to collaborate with a president chef to showcase the rich flavour and cultural diversity of Ghanaian cuisine.
Some of the delicacies she will make include drinks like millet drink, cocoa drink, and sobolo for international patrons.
“Participating in the International Horticultural Expo is an incredible opportunity for me to share my passion for Ghanaian cuisine with a global audience,” Chef Failatu said in a press statement shared on social media.
“I am excited to bring my expertise and creativity to the forefront, highlighting the vibrant culinary traditions of Ghana and contributing to the success of Ghana Day at the Expo,” she added.
This comes days after Chef Failatu announced that her attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual was unsuccessful. She had intended to beat the official 119-hour record set by Alan Fisher.
But in a press release posted on her Instagram page on Sunday, March 3, Chef Failatu announced that her attempt did not meet some of the stringent guidelines set by the Guinness World Records (GWR).
“A statement from the Records Management Team cited a violation of the rest break rules, resulting in an unsuccessful attempt,” part of the statement read.
