Chief of Staff, Mrs. Frema Osei Opare has urged Ghanaians to sustain the green vegetation of the country.
This she believes is the sure way to conserve the environment for posterity.
She said as the Green Ghana Day celebration approaches, it is prudent to plant another tree when another dies.
“Our elders say if a tree dies, plant one in its place, luckily for us as Ghanaians, it’s part of our culture to plant trees” she noted.
The Chief of Staff further stated “so on June 11, let’s all join hands and plant a tree, I am urging all of us to join the Ministry of Lands and natural resources to plant a tree” .
Mrs. Osei Opare however spoke on the need for Ghanaians to be participants and not spectators to the National agenda of greening Ghana.
