Religious leaders, comprising pastors and imams, on Tuesday, October 1, marched through the principal streets of the Kumasi metropolis to intensify calls for peace before, during, and after the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The religious leaders also met with officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) to urge them to remain steadfast in discharging their duties as the electoral management body.
The march happened on a day when the EC was holding a historic Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting with political parties and other interest groups on concerns about the voters’ register.
