Cyber Security Authority extends licensing deadline to end of December

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has announced a three-month extension for the Licensing and Accreditation of Cybersecurity Service Providers (CSPs), Cybersecurity Professionals (CPs), and Cybersecurity Establishments (CEs).

Originally set to conclude on September 30, 2023, the deadline has been pushed to December 31, 2023.

The extension aims to accommodate Cybersecurity Service Providers, Establishments, and Professionals who have yet to initiate the process of obtaining licenses and accreditations, ensuring alignment with Act 1038.

The CSA, in a press release announcing the extension, emphasized, “The extension reflects our dedication to supporting the industry’s growth while maintaining stringent standards. We believe this approach will not only ensure regulatory compliance but also promote innovation and excellence within the cybersecurity sector.”

The regulatory regime, guided by Act 1038, has been designed to guarantee adherence to approved standards and procedures.

This initiative ensures that Cybersecurity Service Providers, Establishments, and Professionals offer their services in accordance with domestic requirements and international best practices.

The extended deadline provides an opportunity for all registered applicants on the CSA’s licensing and accreditation portal to complete their applications within this period.

For those interested in initiating the application process or seeking further information, the CSA directs individuals to visit their official licensing and accreditation portal at https://csa.gov.gh/licensing_and_accreditation.
