Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has shared the devastating news of his father’s passing.
In a sombre and emotional post on Sunday, July, 23, the talented singer took to Instagram to express his grief, captioning a heartfelt tribute to his late father, Alex Marfo.
“It’s been difficult times for myself and my family. We’ve said goodbye to a loved one too soon. I miss you so much already, Dad. Rest well until we meet again 💔,” Kuami Eugene wrote.
The news of Alex Marfo’s passing has sent shockwaves through the music industry and among his fans and followers, who also took to the comments section to offer their condolences and support during this challenging time.
Ghanaian musician, Fuse ODG, took to the comments to express his heartfelt sentiments. He wrote, “My blooda…Sending you and the family God’s strength and healing to get through this tough time 🙏🏿❤️”
Former Ambassador of France to Ghana, Anne Sophie Ave also posted, “So sorry for your loss dear Kwami. I send you lots of love and strength ♥️”
In a previous post, the ‘Wish Me Well’ singer opened up about his father’s reservations about his musical aspirations.
Alex Marfo was not initially supportive of Kuami Eugene pursuing a career in music, fearing that he might face similar struggles as he did in that field.
Instead, he wanted to shield his son from potential hardships and uncertainties.
However, Kuami Eugene’s passion for music eventually won over his father’s heart, and he embraced his son’s artistic journey with pride.
“Buh thank God learning from you helped me correct all the mistakes you made. Live long Daddy, for all I have and will ever achieve, is for both of Us. The Original RockStar,” he wrote.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kuami Eugene and his family during this difficult period.
May they find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with Alex Marfo and find solace in the knowledge that his legacy lives on through the music and artistry of his talented son.
