Dr Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, the Minority Leader in Parliament, has cautioned members and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Gomoa Central Constituency against voting “skirt and blouse” (split-ticket voting) in the December 7 election.
A statement made available to the Ghana News Agency by Mr James Agyenim-Boateng, the Spokesman of the NDC Running Mate, said Dr Forson made the appeal while addressing gathering of artisans at Gomoa Abonyi in the Gomoa Central Constituency of the Central Region.
Dr Forson urged them to vote for both the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, Mr John Dramani Mahama, and the Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Gomoa Central, Mr Kwame Deen Yawson, to ensure the needed development in the area.
He said the area was full of untapped potential, which must be developed with the right representation in Parliament when the NDC assumes the reins of government in January 2025.
Dr Forson therefore cautioned the electorates in the Constituency against any decision to vote for any person other than the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the area.
The Minority Leader is on a campaign tour of the Central Region together with Mr Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC’s National Communications Officer, to galvanise support for Mr John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the NDC, as well as the Party’s Parliamentary Candidates.
