Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, leader and presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the December 2024 elections, on Wednesday, 8 November 2023, four days after winning the NPP presidential primaries, paid a strategic visit to Kennedy Agyapong, his closest contender in the primaries to confer with him at his Movenpick home in Accra.
Dr Bawumia, was accompanied by Mr Fred Oware, his campaign manager, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, a close aide to the Vice President, and Sammi Awuku, the former national organizer of the NPP.
They held talks on strategizing for the 2024 campaign as well as ensuring internal party unity in the NPP.
