Addressing the media, Dr Kwabena Duffour Jnr urged delegates in the constituency to vote for him to direct development to the farming constituency.

In the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency of the Ashanti Region, three out of the four Parliamentary aspirants appeared before the vetting committee ahead of the primaries.

Incumbent Member of Parliament Alex Adomako was the only contender absent for the vetting.

Dr Kwabena Duffour Jnr, who is tipped to win the constituency’s Parliamentary primary with over 70 per cent, was accompanied by his wife as well.

His arrival to the Ashanti Region office of the NDC charged the atmosphere with drumming, singing and dancing.

NDC members present at the place scrambled to give him a handshake.

After vetting, Dr Duffour Jnr described the process as very smooth and very successful.

He said he is contesting the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency primaries in response to the spontaneous call by the constituents for years because of his contribution to the party in the area.

Dr Duffour appealed to the delegates to give him the nod.

He also dispelled his opponents’ campaign claims that he is unfamiliar with the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency. 3news.com
