The Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources in charge of Lands and Forestry, Benito Owusu-Bio has expressed satisfaction at the progress of work over the construction of a new office for the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in Accra.
The project he stated is part of an elaborate plan by President Akuffo-Addo to urbanize Accra to become a beautiful city.
Mr. Owusu-Bio disclosed that the facility is 70 to 80 percent complete adding that “the structures are in place; what is left is with the fittings which he has promised to complete by August this year.”
Speaking to journalists during a tour of the construction site at Bohye a suburb of Kwabenya in Accra on Thursday, the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources noted that the Contractor is a good “developer who is true to his words”. https://mypublisher24.com/vehicle-registration-peaks-at-dvla-office-in-sunyani/
“Hopefully by September DVLA will relocate to this place” he stated.
In view of the vast land available in the current place, the Minister explained that the DVLA can expand, “even the work they do is expanding, and we made sure we give them more land for their future expansion.”
Kwasi Agyemang Busia, Chief Executive of the Authority was also happy with the progress of work.
He said he is expecting project completion by the end of August or September.

The DVLA CEO however, bemoaned the bad road network leading to the site stressing “we are working with the Minster of Lands and Feeder Roads to make sure we have good roads leading to this place.”
DVLA Board Chair, Mr. Frank Davis was optimistic the project would be completed as scheduled.
