Former President Mahama donates building materials to Derma Community School  

Former President John Dramani Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Election 2024, has donated 200 bags of cement and 20 packets of roofing sheets to the Derma Community Day Senior High School in the Ahafo Region.

Mr Charles Akwasi Asiedu, the Tano South Parliamentary Candidate of NDC, who made the presentation on behalf of the former President, said the gesture was to support the on-going construction of the school’s boys’ hostel project.

At a short presentation at Derma, Mr Asiedu explained that the donation, followed an appeal made by the chief and people to the former President during his recent campaign tour to the area.

Mr Asiedu assured them of the former President’s readiness to do more to improve the socio-economic livelihoods of the people and called on the electorates there to vote for him and Mr Mahama when they go to polls on December 7.

Mr Samuel Samare Bugre, the Headmaster for the school, thanked the former President and the parliamentary candidate for the building materials.

Nana Twumasi Asamoah, the Gyeasehene (sub-chief) of Derma, also expressed the people’s heartfelt appreciation to Mr Mahama, and acknowledged the immeasurable contributions of the former President towards the holistic development of the town.

He explained that the chiefs and people of the town were putting up the boys’ hostel to improve student enrolment at the school.
