The collation of presidential election results in the Greater Accra Region is progressing without issues.
By 1910 hours on Sunday evening, results from 22 of the 34 constituencies had been collated, showing John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the lead with 817,805 votes.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), follows with 442,328 votes.
Other candidates’ results are as follows: Daniel Augustus Lartey Jnr (GCPP) – 447; Christian Kwabena Andrews (GUM) – 1,124; Kofi Akpaloo (LPG) – 282; Mohammed Frimpong (NDP) – 159; and Nana Akosua Frimpomaa (CPP) – 2,214.
The results for the rest of the candidates are Hassan Abdulai Ayariga (APC) – 1,048; Kofi Koranteng (Independent) – 194; George Twum-Barimah-Adu (Independent) – 169; Nana Kwame Bediako – 11,910; and Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen (Independent) – 3,561.
The total valid votes stand at 1,281,241, with 15,891 rejected ballots.
The 22 constituencies whose results have been collated include Ada, Sege, Ningo-Prampram, Shai-Osudoku, Krowor, Ablekuma West, Ablekuma Central, Okaikwei North, Odododiodioo, Ablekuma South, Okaikwei South, and Ayawaso Central.
The rest of the 22 constituencies are Ayawaso North, Ayawaso East, Ledzokuku, Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro, Anyaa-Sowutoum, Trobu, Korle Klottey, Tema West, Adenta, and Obom Domeabra.
Results from the Weija-Gbawe, Amasaman, Dome-Kwabenya, Madina, Ayawaso West Wuogon, Okaikwei Central, La-Dadekotopon, Ablekuma North, Tema East, Tema Central, Kpone-Katamanso, and Ashaiman constituencies are outstanding.
