Voters in Ellembelle have re-elected the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to represent them in the nineth Parliament from January 07, 2025.
This follows a landslide victory of the fifth time MP in the December 07 Parliamentary elections.
Returning Officer at the Ellembelle Constituency office of the Electoral Commission, Mr Kwame Asepa officially declared Mr Kofi Buah as the winner of the Parliamentary elections.
He polled 32,281 out of total votes cast of 51,539 to beat his main contender, Mr Kwasi Bonzoh of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who obtained 18,608 votes.
Mr John Asmah Nkum of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), secured 139 of the ballots cast.
In a victory message to the people of Ellembelle, Mr Kofi Buah expressed confidence in the people for bringing the government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) back to administer affairs of the country.
He thanked the party supporters and sympathizers for days and nights of hard work and intensified campaign activities to secure victory.
Mr Kofi Buah said the President-elect of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama would settle down quickly to tackle the challenges confronting the nation.
He said the NDC had a formidable team on the agenda to reset the nation unto economic recovery and prosperity.
Mr Kofi Buah asked the people to support the government to deliver the goods.
Mr Kofi Buah entered the Parliamentary of Ghana in 2009, he served in the John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills government as Deputy Minister for Energy and later as substantive Minister for Energy and Petroleum under the first administration of President John Dramani Mahama.
