Evil Plot Against Me Won’t Prosper-Rev Owusu-Bempah

The General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah yesterday made his first public appearance after his release from police custody on Friday.

Spotted in an all-white linen with a touch of gold, the man of God presented himself before his congregation amidst waves of handkerchiefs and songs of praises.

The man of God was remanded by an Accra Circuit Court where he and some four others have been accused of threatening to kill a former fetish priestess and now self-acclaimed evangelist, Patricia Oduro Koranteng, aka Nana Agradaa.

Three days into a one-week remand by the lower Court, the High Court, presided over by Justice Comfort Kwasiwor Tasiame overturned the “no bail posture” by the Circuit court and admitted Rev. Owusu Bempah to bail in the sum of GH¢200,000, with two sureties.

Four church members of his who are standing trial with him for allegedly beating policemen sent to arrest him after the alleged threats were also granted bail on the same conditions, except that their sureties must be justified.

As part of the bail conditions, he must report himself to the police every Friday until the conclusion of his trial at the Circuit Court.
In a sermon titled: “Wickedness Unto The Wicked IV”, Rev. Owusu Bempah tasked his congregants not to despair in the face of challenges
Quoting Esther 6:1-3, he said Haman had an understanding of spiritual things and had enchanted for 12 months with his purposes to destroy Mordechai and her people.

He stated that King Ahasuerus had hated Mordechai indicating that “Anytime your life is a threat to someone, that person wants to damage you…”
The man of God stated said laws are the creation of man and that there is a difference between law and authority.

Throwing subtle jabs at whoever cared to be the recipient, he said people used the law to destroy Jesus, Paul Joseph and Peter but could not destroy them spiritually adding that “The fact that you are caught by the law does not mean you are not spiritually powerful; If you read the Bible you will realize that they used lies and the law to destroy Jesus physically but in the spiritual realms he had more power and seed than any person.”

Rev. Owusu Bempah continued: “Get the understamding that laws are made by man…Man proposes, God disposes. Man can plan for your disgrace, but God will lift you after the disgrace”.

He explained that Haman thought he had accomplished his mission because he saw victory.
“He had prepared a stick to hang Mordechai; your emery thinks he has prepared a trap for you…that trap is for his life. Haman was happy because his request was granted, whoever is laughing today will cry tomorrow; I declare that anyone with evil plans against you, it will backfire in three folds because you have a covenant with God”.

He again urged the congregation not to be perturbed by the jubilation of their enemies and that there is tomorrow for them while there is life.
Rev. Owusu Bempah explained that Haman used 12 months to plot evil against Mordechai but Esther used three days noting that “if your anointing is big, your trouble is also big…”

Hitting on possible vengeance of any shape or form he said “There are times you must learn to forgive, but there are other times you don’t forgive…Deal nicely with your enemies. Certain situations we encounter make us to learn…”

Earlier, Rev. Owusu Bempah thanked the president, former president John Dramani Mahama and his wife, the clergy some political personalities among others for their support during his incarceration.
