Freda Prempeh appointed new Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Freda Prempeh as the new Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources.

She is a Minister of State at the Presidency and a Member of Parliament for Tano North

Freda Prempeh succeeds Cecilia Abena Dapaah, who tendered her resignation on Saturday, 22nd July 2023, which was accepted by the President on the same day.

Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, who disclosed this in a statement, indicated that President Akufo-Addo, in consultation with the Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Roads and Highways, respectively, has reshuffled the deputy Ministers of these ministries.

Mavis Nkansah Boadu, the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East, has been appointed as the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.

The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and Member of Parliament for Tatale/Sanguli, Thomas Mbomba, has been shuffled to the Roads and Highways Ministry as the Deputy Minister.

According to the statement, the appointments take effect immediately, and the newly appointed ministers will now assume their respective roles and responsibilities.
