Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Akousa Frema Osei Opare, on Saturday could not contain her tears during the one-week observation of the passing of her late brother, Charles Osei Bonsu.
Hundreds of mourners including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his Wife Rebecca, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife Samira, NPP National Executives, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, Common Fund Administrator Naa Torshie Lartey and her husband Frank, gathered at a service to mark the traditional one-week observation in memory of the respected civil servant.
Charles Osei Bonsu commonly known as Naabonsu, died on 24th December 2021 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
His death has left the family devastated and Hon Frema Opare who is yet to come to terms with the death of her brother could not hold back her tears during the entire duration of the service conducted by the Catholic Church in McCarthy Hills.
The final funeral rites will be held on the 27th to 30th of this Month in Accra but will be buried in his hometown in the Ashanti Region.
