Full text: NDC 2024 Manifesto

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) unveiled its manifesto for the 2024 general elections on Saturday in Winneba, presenting a detailed strategy to revive Ghana’s economy, address economic challenges, and improve governance.

The manifesto emphasizes job creation, featuring initiatives like the “24-Hour Economy” plan, designed to enhance production, productivity, and employment. The party also pledges to support small businesses, women entrepreneurs, and artisans through targeted programs and incentives.

In the health sector, the NDC proposes to uncap the National Health Insurance Levy, prioritize healthcare, and establish a Ghana Medical Care Trust Fund to assist individuals with chronic diseases. The NDC 2024 Manifesto also promises to expand health infrastructure, reinstate automatic employment for health workers, and build modern hospitals in underserved regions.

Education is another key focus, with the NDC planning to improve the Free SHS program, secure dedicated funding, and decentralize food procurement. The party also vows to introduce a “No-Academic-Fees” policy, offer financial aid to continuing students, and expand infrastructure for tertiary institutions.
