Gary Warns Kpebu over Akufo-Addo

Director of Legal Affairs for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Gary Nimako Marfo, has cautioned the Organizer of the ‘Kume Preko Reloaded’ demonstration, Lawyer Martin Kpebu to check his intemperate language against President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.

According to him, he can have his discussions about the President without using intemperate words against him.

Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ programme, he wondered why the astute lawyer prefers to use inordinate words whilst advancing his argument on radio or even on Television.

“The way he speaks is not part of our culture and I believe that Martin Kpebu knows that. You can make your case without insulting. It is also very important to note that he is the President of the land and that you are obliged to accord him with the necessary respect he deserves,” he said.

It is also imperative to note that there is global crisis and it is no fault of the President for things to get out of hand, but even with that the President has assured us that he is working to put things under control,” he added.

He further explained that he personally placed a private call to his friend (Martin Kpebu) who happens to be his mate at the University of Ghana, Legon to talk him out of the planned demonstration but he did not budge.

“The Martin Kpebu I know during our Legon days is not noted for this kind of talk and activities but if he believes this is the way to go for him, he should declare his political stand and stop the tangent he has taken”.

“I am compelled to speak publicly about him now because all attempts to stop him through our various private conversations have proved futile, however, he should be mindful of the way he speaks about the President,” he noted
