GFA is doing Well-Harry Zakour

Unlike many football administrators who have consistently attacked the Kurt Okraku led Ghana Football Administration (GFA), Former Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Chairman Harry Zakour has done quite the opposite.

The well celebrated football administrator opted not to criticize the GFA, in an interview with Peace FM, while discussing Hearts of Oak’s prospects of qualifying to the next round of this season’s CAF Confederation Cup and other matters related to club football in Ghana.

“Things will be okay we shouldn’t worry, we should only work hard.

I don’t think the GFA is doing bad but we should all help to build Ghana football” he said.

Hearts of Oak had a brilliant run of trophy wins under Harry Zakour winning multiple Ghana Premier League titles and the 2000 CAF Champions League title.

The Phobia club won its first league title in 11 years in the 2020-2021 league season under recently sacked head coach Samuel Boadu.

Hearts play Real Bamako in the second leg of the preliminary stage of the competition on Sunday, October 16 at the Accra Sports Stadium at 15:00 GMT. Hearts lost 0-3 to Bamako in the first leg.
