GPCC Vice calls for peace ahead of election 2024

The Right Reverend Dr Gordon Kisseih, First Vicie President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has called on Ghanaians particularly politicians to demonstrate a high level of tolerance to ensure peace in the country.

He said Ghanaians cherished the desire of politicians to serve their nation but then they should know that Ghana was for all.

Rt. Rev. Dr Kisseih who is also the General Overseer of the Life International Church, was speaking at the end of ‘Shigionoth 2024’, the flagship programme of the church.

The 21-day prayer and fasting, was aimed at equipping the participants with the word of God, empower them spiritually and again pray for peace ahead of election 2024.

Rt Rev. Dr Kisseih called on political parties to embrace peace and desist from campaigns of insults that may bring about troubles in the country and urged the youth to also desist from being used by the politicians to break electoral laws since they would not be spared when caught.

The Vice President also urged the youth to be innovative and be creative to make them self-reliant.

He said the youth represented most of the country’s population and if the country is to achieve its developmental objectives, they must play a key role.

Rt Rev. Dr Kisseih urged the youth to take advantage of the government’s initiatives especially in agriculture, stressing that agriculture was an important sector of the economy, but the youth had shielded away from it.

“Agriculture a critical area which the energetic youth need to venture into,” the cleric said.
