2025 U-20 AFCON: Black Satellites Squad finally released

A few days to the start of Ghana’s campaign in the 2025 CAF Under 20 AFCON in Egypt, the squad members of Ghana’s National Men’s Football Under 20 Team-the Black Satellites- have been officially released.

Ghana’s squad is headlined by 2024 CAF Young Player of the Year Nominee Abdul Aziz Issah of Barcelona B, former Bechem United star winger Clinton Duodu of Apollon Limassol, Jerry Afriyie of CD Lugo.

The tournament kicked off on April 27 in the North African nation; Cote D’Ivoire was scheduled to host the competition before withdrawing from hosting duties a month ago.

Ghana’s campaign in Egypt commences on Friday, May 2 with a matchup against D.R. Congo at 18:00 GMT at the Suez Stadium.

The Black Satellites are in Group C with defending champions Senegal, Central African Republic and D.R. Congo with the top two ranked nations after a round robin format of games set to qualify automatically to the quarterfinals.
