GOIL joined students of Nifa Senior High School in Adukrom in the Eastern Region for a blood donation exercise organized by the National Blood Service.
About 150 students donated blood in support of the exercise with a total of 182 pints of blood realized at the end of the program.
As part of its support, GOIL presented food items including 30 boxes of milk, 7 cartons of milo, 60 cartons of malt drink, 5 boxes of water and 15 boxes of biscuits to the participating students and team of teachers.
The Headmaster of Nifa Senior High School, Dr. Philip Victor Akoto expressed appreciation to GOIL for the company’s constant support to the school.
The Non-Principal Blood Donor Recruitment Officer of the National Blood Service, Joyce Oppong Adu thanked GOIL for partnering the organization in ensuring a successful outreach.
The blood donation exercise is held annually in collaboration with senior high schools across the country and is geared towards improving the provision of safe and adequate blood for all.
