We Can’t Have Two Parliamentary Candidates in Gomoa Central- Appoh to NDC

The Former Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central in the Central Region, Honourable Rachel Appoh has expressed worry over the National Democratic Congress (NDC) choice of candidate for the December 7, general elections.

According to her, the NDC led by its flagbearer John Dramani Mahama should officially communicate which of the two candidates the party is supporting for the elections.

Hon. Appoh believes the NDC could not support Musician-politician, Kwame Asare Obeng aka A-Plus an independent Parliamentary Candidate for the Constituency over the party’s candidate Kwame Deen Yawsosn.

The former Gender Children and Social Protection Minister who is in the Constituency to assist in the campaign in the lead up to the elections want the NDC National Executives, the communication team of former President Mahama to take a stance on the matter.

He appealed to the Gomoa Central NDC to concentrate on the Party’s Parliamentary Candidate.

“We believe in the NDC; we believe in President Mahama, we believe in Kwame Deen Yawsosn “she stated.

Hon. Appoh indicated that the NDC party made her who she is today and there was no way to turn her back against the party in any way.

The former Gender Children and Social Protection Minister stressed that the NDC’s Central Regional Executives have met with the 122 Polling Station Executives numbering over 1,200 people on Sunday October 20, 2024 adding that some members of the party who did not attend the meeting have had calls from private numbers claiming that Former President Mahama is supporting A-Plus who is on the number three spot on the ballot paper as against the party’s candidate on the number two spot on the ballot paper.
