Gov’t targets $397m reduction in public sector employee salaries

The government has set its sights on reducing public sector compensation by 0.5% of the nation’s GDP.

With Ghana’s nominal GDP currently estimated at approximately $79.5 billion (GH¢873bn), this ambitious target translates to a reduction of around $397 million.
