The Greater Accra branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has denounced the disruptive incident that occurred during the vetting process of Odododiodio parliamentary aspirants.
Supporters of a candidate engaged in unruly behavior, prompting the party’s leadership to express their disapproval.
Greater Accra NDC’s Regional Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, publicly condemned the actions of the individuals involved.
He particularly emphasized the party’s commitment to maintaining a peaceful and respectful atmosphere during such crucial events within the party.
Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, on behalf of the Greater Accra NDC, extended his sincere apologies to Akosua Okyere, a journalist from Citi FM who sustained injuries during the incident. He assured her that all medical expenses would be covered.
In his statement, Nii Ashie Moore emphasized the significance of maintaining a harmonious environment during such events.
He offered heartfelt apologies to the people of Greater Accra and all of Ghana for the unfortunate incident, reiterating the party’s commitment to upholding the values of democracy, respect, and non-violence.
