Heavenly Choir expresses gratitude to God as they mark 10th anniversary

The Heavenly Choir (THC) has marked its 10th anniversary celebration expressing its profound gratitude to God.

Formed to promote the singing of choral music as an act of worship to God and also to propagate the gospel of Christ, The Heavenly Choir (THC) was established as an inter-denominational fraternity that brings together young men and women who have an interest in choral music irrespective of their professional background.

The group has been in existence for a decade and is still growing.

The group activities are weekly rehearsals, honouring of invitations to church programs, other Christian events including weddings, funerals Cooperate/institutional programs, social events, hosting of choral concerts, retreats, revivals among others.

To ensure the implementation of the choir’s mission towards promoting the singing of choral music, THC has organized several programs including Psalmist, Independence Hour, Republic Day Celebration, The Seven Words of Jesus on the cross and the birth of the Messiah in commemoration of Easter and Christmas festivities respectfully.

As part of activities to mark its 10th anniversary celebration, a choral concert dubbed “Nsankudwom” that featured the singing of local renditions by renowned composers like James Armaah, Asare Bediako, Newlove Annan and Mensah Essilfie were offered to the general public at the Prempeh Assembly Hall Kumasi.

THC is a registered entity (Reg. No. CG078552019) by guarantee under the company’s act, 1963 (ACT 179) to operate and transact business in accordance with the laws of the state.

The choir is under the leadership of Mr. Daniel Afona and ably assisted by Mr. John Boakye and Mr. Osei – Tutu Appiah and with support from the rest of the executives.

THC is, however, thankful to both past and present choristers, and anyone who has contributed in one way or the other to their successes.
