I’ll be excited if Jean Mensa is removed – Former Buem MP Declares

The Former Member of Parliament for Buem, Hon. Daniel Kosi Ashiamah, has expressed strong support for the potential removal of Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson Jean Mensa.

Such move, he said, would be both justified and personally satisfying.

Speaking on Ghana Kasa with Sandra Akua Darkoa Koranteng popularly known as Akua Sonto on Kasapa FM, Hon. Ashiamah predicted that Jean Mensa’s tenure would eventually come to an end, drawing a parallel with the recent departure of the Chief Justice.

“We told Ghanaians during our time in opposition that she was unfit for the role,” he emphasized.

The former MP did not hide his feelings about the possibility of her exit, stating, “I will be excited if Jean Mensa is removed. I will wear an all-white outfit after her dismissal.”

Ashiamah also criticized the EC’s handling of electoral matters, particularly the disenfranchisement of residents in the newly created Guan District, which was previously part of the Buem constituency. “How could the people of the SALL Constituency go without a Member of Parliament for four years?” he questioned, calling the situation unacceptable.
