Kofi Yeboah: GJA General Secretary donates essential items to Accra Rehabilitation Centre

The General Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Kofi Yeboah, has donated essential items, including a freezer, clothes, and sanitary pads, to the Accra Rehabilitation Centre (ARC).

During the donation on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, he appealed to Corporate Ghana and individuals to support the centre, which provides vocational training for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Describing the ARC as a vital national institution, Yeboah noted that it is currently in dire need of essential supplies to support the training and well-being of its trainees.

He explained that his decision to donate stemmed from his experience conducting fieldwork at the ARC as part of his Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights Law and Practice at the University of Ghana.

“Today marks my birthday, and I thought it was only fitting to celebrate this special day with you. I gathered these items with the help of friends to support you,” he stated.

As a communications lecturer at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, Kofi Yeboah urged others to contribute to the ARC, stressing the need for food, household items, and personal effects.

He also emphasized the importance of providing facilities for training in information and communication technology (ICT) and hairdressing to help the trainees gain employable skills.
