Kuami Eugene joins KiDi at Empire Distribution

According to information on our entertainment desk, Kuami Eugene has signed a distribution deal with Empire Distribution. This deal is said to be similar to that of KiDi’s distribution deal, as they both remain under the management of Lynx Entertainment.

Over the past weeks, Kuami Eugene has stirred up rumours about his exit from Lynx in a cryptic tweet. Many speculated the artiste was leaving his record label, and these rumours were fuelled when A Plus claimed a credible source confirmation. But he refused to name his source.

The CEO of Lynx Entertainment, Richie Mensah, who had earlier refused to comment, told Caleb Nii Boye on Showbiz 927 to disregard these hearsays.

Richie Mensah asked the media to focus on the positives, like his signee (KiDi and Kuami Eugene) progressive shows and world tours. He also pointed out that this ‘bad’ publicity will hurt the industry in the long run. He continued to say that whatever happens in his company will always become public. Hence there was no need to jump the broom.

“I think as media and industry professionals, we need to guard the industry. The people in Australia, waiting for Kuami Eugene to come and play a show there, will google and not see how good the show is. They will rather be reading this (exit rumours),” Richie continued. “We need to dismiss certain things. That Kuami Eugene is going to leave Lynx. If he leaves Lynx, everyone will know.”

On January 28, 2021, Lynx Entertainment announced a successful partnership with Empire And MadeinENY for a publishing deal for KiDi.

Empire Distribution is an American distribution company and record label predominately interested in hip-hop music. They currently represent Black Sherif, KiDi, Yaw Tog and, now, Kuami Eugene.
