Kuenyehia Trust for Contemporary Art is inviting West African visual artists between 18 and 40 to compete for the prestigious Kuenyehia Prize for Contemporary Art.
Limited to paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, carvings, and installations, the Kuenyehia Prize supports and develops West African artists to build sustainable careers in art.
Eligible artists must submit work (through www.kuenyehiaprize.org) by December 22, 2024, to compete for a prize of ten thousand United States Dollars ($10,000).
The winner, to be announced in February 2025, will be selected by an independent jury based on the trajectory of the artist’s work and their artistic statement.
All shortlisted artists benefit from the Trust’s Creative Accelerator Programme which provides artists intensive practical training, mentoring, and exposure to global best practices. In addition, shortlisted artists benefit from opportunities to participate in local and international exhibitions and fairs.
