The pathologist who conducted the post-mortem on the slain body of former Abuakwa North MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu, has blamed the theft of his personal computer for the two-year delay in issuing an autopsy report.
According to Dr Lawrence Edusei, who is the 5th Prosecution Witness, the Post-Mortem examination he performed on the murdered MP in 2016 was stolen after thieves broke into his home and stole everything including the computer.
Appearing before Court on Monday, Dr Edusei said the incident happened while he was attending a conference in Germany.
He however told the court he was able to access the autopsy data because the same information had been kept at the police hospital saying “the cause of death, is exsanguination, due to multiple stab injuries of neck and chest.”
Exsanguination is defined as the act or process of draining or losing blood.
Dr Lawrence Edusei also explained to the court that at the time of examination; there was virtually no blood in the legislator’s body.
Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bosso have since 2016 been standing trial for the gruesome murder of the legislator. However, the case has been discontinued and started at different times.
