Let’s support gov’t to turn around the economy

65 years in the life of a country, particularly a third world country like ours, is no mean a journey, and we can only tap ourselves at the back and say Ayekoo for how far we have come.

Ideally, marrying a political independence with the needed economic growth would have given the citizenry a lot to be proud of, and that would have given the forebears of the independence struggle a reason to look back with smile.

We may not be where we wished to be like most of our peers from Asia that got independence at the same time with us, but with the right initiatives, we would get there.

There is room for improvement as the government continues to institute the necessary policies and programmes to help propel the country to a higher height.

The government, more than ever, needs our support and sacrifice to turn the economy around, and I call on all and sundry to give their backing to the various initiatives by government and support the managers of the country to steer the affairs of the country and bring us out of whatever difficulty we may have found ourselves.

We are capable of doing it big as a people, but to do this, we need to move as a collective, as one people with a common objective.

Let’s use the spirit of the independence to patch our difference and work together as one.

God Bless our homeland Ghana.
