Lordina Mahama blows $82,558 On Foreign Trip

mypublisher24.com has uncovered a document detailing how former First Lady Lordina Mahama led-delegation blew a whopping Eighty Two Thousand, Five Hundred And Fifty-Eight US Dollars Seventy-Four Cents ($82,558.74) on a New York trip in November 2013.

According to the document signed by the then Chief of Staff Prosper D.K Bani, the said amount had been approved in favour of Mrs. Mahama to “lead an official delegation to attend the 3rd Annual Medshare Gala scheduled to be held in new York, USA from 12th to 17th November 2013.”

Out of the amount, $11,741.33 is for per diem allowances; hotel accommodation, $50,000 with $20,000 for incidental expenses.

This comes at a time when the NDC Mrs Mahama’s husband led into the 2020 polls have quested the cost of the foreign trips of president Akuffo Addo.

In his latest wave of criticisms, North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has accused the President  of introducing taxes in the 2022 budget statement in order to finance his extravagant lifestyle.

He described the taxes in the 2022 budget as draconian.

“A President who refuses to account for his profligate sybaritic travels & still seeks to impose even more draconian taxes so he can keep financing his extravagant lifestyle must rank very high on the global league of the most insensitive & heartless leaders. Kill the killer taxes!} he said on Thursday November 25.

The North Tongu had earlier alleged that President Akufo-Addo hired luxurious aircraft on his recent foreign trips to the UK and Germany.

According to the NDC legislator, the trips on the hired jet cost the state £14,000 per hour and a cumulative ¢3.46 million.

Earlier this year, Okudzeto Ablakwa stirred controversy when he alleged that President Akufo-Addo hired a private jet at the cost of GH¢2.8 million on his travels to France, Belgium and South Africa at the expense of tax-burned Ghanaians.
