Ada MP reiterates commitment to develop constituency youth

 

Madam Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, Member of Parliament for Ada, has reiterated her commitment to developing the youth of Ada through various interventions as she received the nod for another term in parliament.

Madam Ghansah, who is going to represent the people for the fourth term, said she was overwhelmed by the support given her by the electorate and appreciates their endorsement in the just-ended general elections.

Madam Ghansah, who garnered 22,019 votes, representing 72.37 percent on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in a statement, stated that the victory was for Ada, and she was grateful for the outcome of the elections.

She noted that the youth acknowledged her hardwork, hence their massive support in the elections, pledging to develop the youth with all her might.

“Let me thank the people of Ada for their massive support again; the youth deserve all the thanksgiving, and I must say that I will make sure that the youth are employed and given the necessary support to make them successful,” she said.

At the just-ended elections, the parliamentary results also saw Madam Dornukie Naa Norteye on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) polling 8,119 votes, representing 26.66 per cent.

Meanwhile, some voters in the constituency have expressed disappointment in the parliamentary results, stating that they were hoping to change their parliamentarian.

Others also expressed joy over the retention of the incumbent Member of Parliament who had been an MP since 2012.
