Make evergreen songs to stay relevant – P-Square

Nigerian music duo P-Square, who just finished off their #100CitiesWorldTour in Birmingham, shared some advice for industry colleagues who wish to stay relevant years after a hit song.

The twins recently had a comeback after trying to go solo after their split. The aftermath of this reaction has sparked a boom in ticket and music sales despite the absence of any recent hit songs.

Peter Okoye decided to share the trick to staying relevant year after year. He tweeted, “If you really want to stay longer in the music industry! Don’t just have hit songs! Have evergreen songs. Y’all really need to see what we are experiencing! Grace of God is upon us#OGsBeforeTheIG #Psquare100CitiesWorldTour LONDON next! This Wednesday.”

The twin brothers, Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, reconciled in November 2021 after their split in 2016, supposedly due to management issues.
Since their reunion, P-Square released two new singles; ‘Jaiye (Ihe Geme)’ and ‘Find Somebody’.
