Black Princesses: Qualifying bonuses settled ahead of FIFA U-20 World Cup – Gideon Fosu

Chairman of the Management Committee for Ghana’s Black Princesses, Gideon Fosu, has confirmed  that the outstanding qualifying bonuses for the team have been fully paid ahead of their participation in the Under-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

While each player was originally promised $6,000 for their performance in the qualifiers, they ultimately received a revised amount of $4,500.

The payment comes just in time for the Black Princesses as they gear up for the World Cup, which begins on August 31.

That has been settled and we would like to say thank you to the Ministry.

I think the minister did very well. We had a couple of conversations. The FA president also had to chip in a word or two, and that had been paid. Thankfully, the girls and the technical team are okay. We are going into this tournament in high spirits,” he stated.

The Black Princesses are preparing vigorously in Cape Coast for their seventh consecutive appearance at the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup slated for Colombia from August 31st to September 22, 2024.

Ghana is in Group E together with New Zealand, Austria and Japan for the tournament.
