Massive turnout at CDC official campaign launch

The standard bearer for the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) of Liberia, President George Weah, who is seeking a five-year second term was able to pull a massive crowd to the official launch of his party campaign at the Anthony Tubman Stadium.

Supporters believe under President George Weah a lot has been achieved with significant progress made.

“We did it before, we can do it again,” he said at the campaign launch.

He further told the cheering crowd they have gathered to show to the World that they are the people’s party, they did it before and they can do it again; and they are there in their numbers because of what they have achieved together and to also show to the World how true democracy works.

“We have freedom of the press, gender equality and women empowerment. Again we have young empowerment and participation in government, and together we have achieved a lot of infrastructure development”, he added.
