McDan inspires Ghanaian youth; Applauds National Service Authority for promoting entrepreneurial skills

Founder and CEO of McDan Group of Companies, Daniel McKorley, has applauded the transformation of the National Service Scheme into the newly established National Service Authority, under the National Service Authority Act 2024 (Act 1119).

The transformation marks a significant milestone in empowering the youth of Ghana.

He hailed the NSA’s new initiatives, which aim to enhance human capital development, foster entrepreneurial skills, and encourage participation in sectors such as agriculture, infrastructure, and project management.

McKorley praised the newly established National Service Authority for its role in creating pathways for young Ghanaians to thrive in various sectors of the economy, highlighting the Authority’s role in building job creation mindsets and supporting rural and urban development through innovative projects.

“The transformation of the National Service Scheme to an Authority represents a beacon of hope that will empower our young graduates to drive and accelerate the socio-economic growth and development of our country,” he said.

He urged young Ghanaians to seize the opportunities presented by the National Service Authority and emphasized the value of hard work and purpose-driven action.

“While your youth is a valuable asset, you must recognize and seize the incredible opportunities that come your way, as this period of time is very limited. You cannot afford to be complacent,” he advised.

In his capacity as Chairman, McKorley announced plans for a strategic partnership between the National Service Authority and the McDan Foundation, which will offer service personnel access to mentorship and coaching programs during their service period.

He invited service personnel to sign up for the initiative through the foundation’s website, expressing hope that other industry leaders would follow suit in supporting the country’s youth.

He reminded the Ghanaian youth of their potential and the pivotal role they play in shaping the future of the country.

“You were born to be great, and the future of this country belongs to you,” he declared.
