The company clarified that it remains a privately held entity with no external shareholders.
This follows the circulation of a flyer on social media alleging that Gabby Otchere-Darko, referred to as the “De facto Prime Minister,” had acquired majority shares in the retail giant, gaining control of the company.
Melcom has urged the public to disregard these rumours.
