President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed a twelve- Member Team to constitute the governments side of the Transition Team.
This comes hours after the President-elect in the December 7, 2024, general elections, John Dramani Mahama in accordance with the provisions of the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845), appointed his members to the 2024 Transition Team.
His team is expected to work closely with representatives of the outgoing government with a view to ensuring a smooth transfer of political power to the incoming administration.
Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communication in the Office of the President in a statement stated that the President and the President-elect will serve as Co-Chairperons of the Team stressing that the President has appoint the Chief of Staff Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare to serve as Co-Chairperson of the Team in the absence of the President.
The other members of the Team are Godfred Yeboah Dame, the Attorney- General, Hon. Osei-Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, the Minister responsible for Presidential Affairs, Hon. Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, Finance Minister among others.
